How to Deal with Someone with Dementia
Are you overwhelmed by the challenges of caring for a loved one with dementia?

If so, the REACH program may be just what you need.

REACH is an educational program serving Smith County residents who care for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or dementia-related disorders.

The REACH program addresses primary issues impacting caregiving well-being:

  • Problem behaviors
  • Safety
  • Self-care
  • Social support
  • Stress

REACH 

  • Is a six-month program in which caregivers meet one-on-one with dementia care specialists to learn strategies to cope with the challenges of caregiving. 
  • Empowers caregivers by offering services that nourish self-esteem, impart knowledge, reduce stress, promote community involvement, and ultimately improve quality of life. 
  • Addresses primary issues impacting a caregiver’s well-being: Depression, Problem Behaviors, Safety, Self-care, Social Support, and Stress 
  • Is offered at no charge.
