This year’s theme is “Living Well with Dementia.” CEs will be provided for multiple disciplines. The event will be held in the UT Tyler UC Mabry Theater. This year’s schedule:\n8:00 to 8:30 am – Doors Open/Check in/Registration/Breakfast/Exhibit Hall\n8:30 am – Welcome – Program begins\n8:45 to 10:30 am – “The Science Behind Preventing–and slowing–Dementia”\n10:30 to 10:45 am – Break\n10:45 am to 12 pm – “Living in the Moment: Hear from people living with dementia and caregivers”\n12 to 12:45 pm – Door Prizes/Lunch/Exhibitors\n12:45 to 1:45 pm – “‘Why is Grandma acting like that?’ Tips for Explaining Dementia to kids”\n1:45 to 2 pm – break\n2 to 3 pm – “Managing caregiver stress and family dynamics”\n3 to 4 pm – “Dementia vs Behavioral Health: When and How to Take Action”\n4 to 4:15 pm – Closing/Evals\nSponsorships are available!
